Duty Manager – Full Time

Club Menangle is on the lookout for an experienced Duty Manager to join our award-winning venue and team. In the role you will be responsible for the following:

  • Ensuring customer service standards are always being met in line with company culture
  • Supervising food and beverage staff to ensure compliance with all their assigned duties
  • Building and developing a capable workforce to deliver quality and safe food and beverage services to our customers
  • Handling customer complaints and troubleshooting issues in line with company policies
  • Overseeing the operations across all outlets of the club
  • Taking ownership of customer issues and respond to customer service issues in a timely manner

You will bring:

  • Previous experience as a Duty Manager
  • Current RSA/RCG
  • Extensive Food and Beverage Knowledge
  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills
  • Excellent Organisational Skills
  • Experience in gaming operations

You will be required to work a rotating roster and be available Monday to Sunday. All facilities will be closed by 10pm during the week and 12am on weekends yielding a fantastic work-life balance.

Functions and Event Manager

Role Purpose:

We are seeking a dynamic Functions and Event Manager to join our team full-time! Your primary goal will be to manage and deliver all events and functions, ensuring profitable outcomes and exceptional customer service. You will lead, train, and mentor staff, and collaborate with managers and chefs to ensure smooth operations.

In this role you will be responsible for the following:

  • Build and train a capable team to deliver high-quality, safe food and beverage services.
  • Oversee and coordinate event delivery, liaising with stakeholders and staff.
  • Manage function and event sales, budget forecasting, inquiry conversion, and lead generation.
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to implement strategies to achieve budget targets.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and customers.
  • Actively market event spaces to corporate contacts and engage in local business development.
  • Create and cost function packages and products in collaboration with the GM of Hospitality.
  • Supervise floor staff to ensure compliance with duties and procedures.
  • Ensure setup staff complete all function setup requirements.

Skills and Experience:

  • 2+ years’ experience as a Functions Manager.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a supervisory role.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong business acumen and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a large team.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple issues simultaneously.
  • Ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Passion for events and creating memorable experiences.

Bar / Wait Attendant

As Menangle Country Club continues to grow, we have an opening for Floor & Bar staff to join our team! This opportunity will see you working between both our venues – Menangle Trackside and Menangle Country Club.

We are looking for professional Floor/Bar Staff that can provide a consistent and high-quality standard of customer service to all clients, ensuring smooth delivery of beverage, food and customer services to patrons within the venue. Present the club as a premier hospitality and entertainment centre by attracting and retaining guests by providing quality service.

In the role, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing excellent and professional customer service at all times
  • Set up and close down of all dining areas as directed
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment
  • Work as a team member and help out other departments as required
  • Delivering beverages and food items to tables
  • Complying with all food, beverage and WHS regulations
  • Clearing and cleaning tables throughout the venue

You will bring:

  • Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate
  • Responsible Service of Gambling certificate
  • Relevant previous experience as a wait staff
  • Ability to work a varied casual roster including weekdays, evenings and weekends
  • Previous team work experience
  • Previous customer service experience

Hours of work will be over a flexible roster with weekends expected
