Bar / Wait Attendant

As Menangle Country Club continues to grow, we have an opening for Floor & Bar staff to join our team! This opportunity will see you working between both our venues – Menangle Trackside and Menangle Country Club.

We are looking for professional Floor/Bar Staff that can provide a consistent and high-quality standard of customer service to all clients, ensuring smooth delivery of beverage, food and customer services to patrons within the venue. Present the club as a premier hospitality and entertainment centre by attracting and retaining guests by providing quality service.

In the role, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing excellent and professional customer service at all times
  • Set up and close down of all dining areas as directed
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment
  • Work as a team member and help out other departments as required
  • Delivering beverages and food items to tables
  • Complying with all food, beverage and WHS regulations
  • Clearing and cleaning tables throughout the venue

You will bring:

  • Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate
  • Responsible Service of Gambling certificate
  • Relevant previous experience as a wait staff
  • Ability to work a varied casual roster including weekdays, evenings and weekends
  • Previous team work experience
  • Previous customer service experience

Hours of work will be over a flexible roster with weekends expected

Track Curator

Club Menangle has made its mark on the Australian harness racing scene and can now be acclaimed as one of the best in the world. The racing precinct has everything to accommodate every enthusiast’s needs and offers a wide range of options for the general public right through to the corporate identities. 


To ensure that the preparation and maintenance of the race track, machinery and facilities are to a high-quality standard. 


  • Maintenance and preparation of the race track and associated facilities inclusive of fencing and stables and surrounding area.  
  • Daily maintenance of the grounds including the main track and exercise track 
  • Operation of equipment including water truck, tractor, conditioner, slasher, mowers, whipper snipper etc 
  • Basic repairs and maintenance of equipment and facilities 
  • Ensure the premises are prepared and returned to pre-race day order after events 
  • Ensure all racing equipment is regularly maintained and is in good working condition 
  • Maintain the racing plant and equipment asset log 
  • Ensure work is carried out safely and to appropriate standards 
  • Report on WHS issues or risks 
  • Act as the track curator at race meetings as required  
  • Follow all policies and procedures  
  • Support a constructive culture free from Bullying, Harassment and Discrimination 


  • Understanding of harness track maintenance 
  • Good communication skills 
  • Experience dealing with outside contractors 
  • HR and machinery license 
  • Daily inspection of heavy machinery 
  • Experience understanding weather forecasts  
  • Ability to work to deadlines and in high pressure situations  
  • Ability to problem solve 
  • Ability to operate machinery  
  • Understanding of basic machinery maintenance 
  • Self-motivation and ability to meet deadlines; 
  • An understanding of Workplace Health & Safety requirements; 
  • Understanding of horses; 
  • Written and oral communication skills; 

This hands-on role is suited to a person who enjoys working in a self-managed environment 


  • 2+ years experience as a track curator and or understanding of track maintenance  


  • Certificate III in work health and safety 
  • White card
